Hycolin Antiviral Disinfectant is based on a product used by professionals in a broad range of critical hygiene applications including care homes, catering and food production. In many of these applications it is not desirable to use perfumed product, so Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner contains no fragrance. Neither does it contain a dye because it is presented in a fully printed, easily identified sleeve.
Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner has been independently tested against a broad range of pathogenic bacteria and viruses including; E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhimurium, Methicilin-Resistent Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Listeria monocytogenes.
Yes. The product has been independently tested using the latest European antiviral test protocol (EN14476) by a leading virology laboratory. The results demonstrate that Hycolin Antiviral Disinfectant is effective against coronaviruses as well as:

Hepatitis C Virus (HCV),
Hepatitis Delta Virus (HDV),
Influenza Virus,
Rubella Virus,
Measles Virus,
Rabies Virus,
Coronaviruses (e.g. SARS, MERS),
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV),
Hepatitis B virus (HBV).
This means that only 0.01% of the test organisms survived after treatment with Hycolin Antiviral Disinfectant. In reality the real number is more like 0.001% to 0.0001% depending on the test being performed. Either way this result is considered to be a satisfactory level of disinfection for general domestic hygiene.
For thorough disinfection Hycolin Antiviral Disinfectant should be left to act for a minimum of 5 minutes at room temperature. After this it should be wiped off with a clean, damp cloth or rinsed off with fresh water.
Hycolin Antiviral Disinfectant should form part of your regular household hygiene regime. This is especially important in high usage areas such as worktops, door handles and handrails. In homes where people are sick or especially vulnerable, more frequent cleaning is recommended.
Stored in a cool dark environment, Hycolin Antiviral Disinfectant Cleaner will remain active for at least 24 months.

To all non-porous, hard surfaces requiring disinfection, especially surfaces that are most often touched by hand, such as work surfaces, door handles, tables and cupboard doors. Always test on an inconspicuous area first. Always follow the directions on the label.
We do not have any specialist test data to enable us to claim that Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner kills pathogens on absorbent surfaces and textiles.
However, there is nothing to prevent Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner from being used to clean certain textiles.
In this respect we would offer the following advice:
1. Check a small area to make sure the product will not discolour or cause colours to run.
2. Ensure the carpet is free from dust and debris (vacuum it first)
3. Apply a light spray, just enough to moisten the top of the pile ... but not enough to soak through to the backing as this will cause shrinkage and discoloration.
4. Leave as long as possible to air dry before walking on treated areas... leave windows open to make some air flow.  
5. If Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner is used on floors it is important to ensure that the floor is dry before walking on it. A wet floor is a slip hazard.
Yes, Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner is suitable for food contact surfaces and packaging. Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner is fragrance-free which makes it especially suitable for use on food contact surfaces. Please note that, as with all household disinfectants, it’s important to rinse surfaces after disinfection and before using for food preparation.
Yes. Hycolin Antiviral Surface Cleaner is suitable for use on chrome and stainless steel. Other surfaces should be tested on an inconspicuous area first in order to check for incompatibility.
